Straight answers
What does Exonel Industries make?
Custom moulded and extruded rubber components: gaskets, seals, O-rings, grommets, washers, bushes, anti-vibration pads, profiles, channels, sponge sections, tubing, strips and bespoke parts made to drawing.
Which rubbers do you work with?
Six base polymers: Silicone (VMQ), EPDM, FKM (Viton-type), NBR (nitrile), Neoprene (CR) and SBR. Each is formulated into the compound the part needs, so the working range runs to hundreds of compounds.
Can you make a part from a drawing or a sample?
Yes. Send a drawing, a CAD file, a sample or a written specification. We select the compound, cut the tooling and make the part.
What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the part, the compound and the process. Tell us what you need and we will confirm what works for the job.
Do you help choose the compound?
Yes. Choosing the polymer and hardness is part of the job. We recommend a compound for your temperature, media and load before any tooling is cut, and confirm it with you.
Do you supply food-grade or medical-grade compounds?
Yes, on request. Food-grade and medical-grade silicone compounds are available. They are supplied without third-party certification.
Can you replace an imported rubber part?
Yes. Send the imported part or its drawing. We measure it, match the material and produce a local equivalent.
Where are you based and where do you supply?
We manufacture in Howrah (Kolkata), West Bengal, and supply customers across India.
How do I get a quote?

What temperature can silicone rubber withstand?
Silicone (VMQ) typically works from about −60°C to +200°C, wider than most rubbers, which is why it is used for lighting, electrical and high-heat sealing. The exact grade is matched to the application.
Are your grommets and gaskets IP67 or IP68 rated?
They are designed for IP67/IP68 sealing applications. The IP rating is achieved by the finished enclosure under test, so we design the seal to your enclosure and you test the assembly.
Are you ISO certified?
Exonel does not currently hold an ISO certification. If your application needs a specific test or approval on the part, tell us and we will confirm what we can provide.
