When a moulded seal isn't practical.

For large or unusual perimeters, moulding one piece needs costly tooling. Instead we cut extruded profile to length and join the ends — hot-vulcanised or spliced — into a continuous closed gasket, ideal for low-to-medium volumes and big frames.

An extruded rubber profile cut to length and joined end-to-end — by hot vulcanising or splicing — to form one continuous, closed gasket or frame.

When would I choose joined over moulded?

For large or unusual perimeters and lower volumes, joining extruded profile avoids the cost of a large mould while still giving a continuous seal.
