Is EPDM good for outdoor use?

Yes — EPDM is one of the best rubbers for ozone, UV and weather resistance, so it ages very slowly outdoors.

Can EPDM handle steam and hot water?

Yes — EPDM resists steam and hot water well, which is why it suits HVAC and heating applications.

Is EPDM resistant to oil?

No — EPDM has poor oil and fuel resistance. For oil contact we recommend NBR or FKM.
